Job Overview:
Adly is looking for a Product Manager to develop key aspects of a digital retail sales experience by defining and building cutting-edge features to support a first-rate user experience. Additionally, the product manager will own ongoing optimization of core retail flows, including account creation & checkout, and account management. We’re seeking a highly-motivated leader who combines a great instinct for defining compelling products with a strong focus on the end user.
The right candidate will understand the product development process from concept through delivery and will have previous, hands-on experience building successful online shopping solutions for high-profile, internet-based consumer brands. To succeed in this role, you must have a keen eye for standards-based web design and understand that an excellent user experience has a direct impact on a product’s success. You must enjoy solving problems innovatively, knowing how to craft solutions, both strategically and tactically. A background defining and delivering digital retail or ecommerce applications is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
– Help define Adly’s digital retail sales strategy, developing an actionable roadmap that strikes the right balance between speed-to-market & innovative development, and drives key business metric improvements.
– Develop and document business requirements and product specifications for new retail shopping features, as well as refinements and improvements to existing flows.
– Work closely with engineering team to track progress, work through solutions and meet deadlines; and act as the single-point business lead.
– Balance business needs and technical constraints while maximizing business benefit and building great customer experiences.
– Continually assess the competitive landscape and emerging industry trends to inform the feature roadmap.
– Source and recommend where appropriate third-party solutions to inform or improve our core shopping experience.
– Drive user research, scenario development and iterative design framework definition in partnership with the interaction design team.
– Monitor retail conversion metrics, seeking areas of improvement to drive measurable impact to Adly’s bottom line.
Qualifications:
– Strong leader with excellent verbal and written skills; ability to communicate successfully at all levels of the organization.
– Leading-edge awareness of multiple emerging platforms, including HTML 5.0, Chrome, and mobile.
– Deep understanding, based on prior experience, of online consumer retail standards & best practices, with a track-record of developing and defining optimized e-commerce solutions.
– Experience in delivering technology products/services in a high growth environment, with a demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into business and product requirements.
– Both technically adept and business savvy enough to successfully manage cross-functional teams.
– A natural inclination for taking ownership and driving results.
– Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and feature concepts.
Education: Bachelor’s degree is required, MBA highly preferred.
Experience Required: 3 -5 years in consumer-facing product management is required.
